Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the German Cancer Aid, it is our great pleasure to announce the forthcoming 10th International Mildred Scheel Cancer Conference that will be held in Bonn on June 14-15, 2023.
The biennial Mildred Scheel Cancer Conference is the central meeting for national and international cancer researchers at all stages of their careers giving them the opportunity to come together to discuss the latest developments in basic and translational cancer research. Key topics of this conference include early detection, invasion, immunotherapy, DNA Repair and personalized medicine.
The conference will build on the success of the previous conferences with the participation of renowned international and national speakers, stimulating scientific exchange on a very high level. The plenary symposia will provide ample time for lively discussions. Each symposium will also allot time for oral presentations which will be selected from the submitted abstracts. Two poster sessions will be an important part of the conference programme, offering young scientists and students the chance to present and discuss their work with the cancer science community. Selected posters will be presented as flash talks. The best posters will be awarded prize money. In addition, a new "Meet the Expert Session" will provide a unique opportunity for small group discussions with experts in different fields.
We are grateful for the financial support provided by the Dr. Mildred Scheel Foundation for Cancer Research and the German Cancer Aid that have been sponsoring this series on international conferences since 1977. The German Cancer Aid's objectives are found in their motto: "Helping. Researching. Informing.". They represent the most important private source of funding for cancer research in Germany with an annual funding budget of 35 million euros.
We are delighted that the conference will be held again in Bonn. We are looking forward to welcoming you at the 10th International Mildred Scheel Cancer Conference in 2023!
